Years later, after moving to the United States in 1998, Hilaire’s search for authentic Burundian coffee led him to discover a potential business opportunity. Encouraged by friends and colleagues who marveled at the coffee’s exceptional taste, he decided to turn his passion into a reality.Born and raised on an Arabica coffee plantation in Burundi, coffee has always been a passion for Hilaire. Witnessing his father’s meticulous preparation and passion for crafting the perfect cup sparked a lifelong love for the beverage. Although his first attempt at making coffee as a child wasn’t quite a success, it ignited a curiosity that led him to appreciate the art and skill involved.
