The Tirumala dress code refers to the traditional clothing guidelines followed by devotees visiting the sacred Tirumala Venkateswara Temple, which is managed by the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD). These guidelines are meant to maintain the spiritual atmosphere, cultural values, and sanctity of the temple. Visitors are encouraged to wear modest and traditional Indian attire as a mark of respect while entering the temple premises and participating in darshan. For men, traditional dress such as a dhoti (pancha) with or without an upper cloth is preferred, and they may also wear a kurta or shirt with pyjama. For certain rituals and sevas, wearing a dhoti is mandatory and shirts may not be allowed inside. For women, sarees, salwar kameez with dupatta, or half-sarees are considered appropriate. Clothing that is modern, revealing, or casual—such as shorts, sleeveless tops, or short skirts—is generally not permitted inside the temple.
